16 June 2014 The Start of Wiffle Ball Season
Sam and I are in PA for the week. While the World Cup occupies much of the world, there’s a little-known and little-followed yearly wiffle ball tournament taking place in suburban Philadelphia. The league had to adjust the rules because one of the players has a busted left foot that prevents her from running. But she can still swing a mean bat.
Tonight’s game stats:
Sam won with 10 runs batted in, followed by yours truly with 9 runs, and Granddaddy with 8. 5 innings of play, called on account of the swarm of gnats that circled our faces constantly. Will Grandaddy, the underdog, redeem himself tomorrow? Stay tuned!
