Sam's western PA burger
One of the (many) things that amused us during our two-year stint in Altoona, PA was the western Pennsylvanian habit of putting fries IN sandwiches or on TOP of salads. To the western PA palate, potatoes are not a side but a condiment. When Sam put a couple of slices of roasted potato on top of her burger tonight, AC and I shared a knowing look. Guess there’s still a little bit of Altoona left in the girl!
