Indigo Girls and Joan Baez
The Indigo Girls with Joan Baez at Charlottesville’s downtown Pavilion. Baez still has an amazing voice even at age 72 (!) and the Indigo Girls took me back to my college years with one strum of the guitar. Actually the amusing thing–that Baez teased them about–was how MANY guitars the Indigos use in one concert. They switched instruments after every song. Also amusing to me was how after all my years of listening to the Indigo Girls (really, their albums were pretty much set to repeat in my college dorm) I had managed to confuse the two women, thinking that blonde Emily was the husky-voiced one and brunette Amy the soprano.

Thanks, AC, for the tickets!
