6 April 2013 Backyard Theater

If I had a nickel for every time Sam and Susie asked me what time it was, leading up to their 2:30PM performance, I’d have more money than they made today with their backyard theater. Turnout was not high, but the girls did a great job with their performance and theater set-up. They not only issued tickets, but also gave out seating assignments and served lemonade at the end. The show included three skits: “The Death of Bubble Gum,” “Bear Hunt,” and “The Stray Cat.” Not bad for something that they threw together just yesterday. (Sam said, “Mom, this is like the Shakespeare actors we saw in Staunton– they rehearse for 2 days but we rehearsed for only 1!)
