11 March 2013 Unexpected

I really couldn’t imagine what was in the box that Highlights Magazine sent me in the mail today. It was a white box. Maybe some more complimentary copies of the March issue that includes my story? Maybe a cake? I almost had it right. It was a plate. A pewter plate naming me “Author of the Month!” Now I just need a slice of messy chocolate cake to go on it 😉

Luckily I know how to make one of those.
