I’ll never forgot what 5-year old Sammy said the first time she saw Charlottesville’s Pavilion on the east side of the Downtown Mall: “THAT’s not the Pavilion!” (She was thinking of the Royal Pavilion in Brighton, built in the 18th-19th centuries.)
