16 December 2012 Piano Recital

Sam participated in her first ever piano recital today at Our Lady of Peace nursing home. She played two songs called “Quiet River” and “What Can I Do.” Playing in public was a major milestone for Sammy. She commented afterward on which kids took a bow after their songs and which kids just walked off stage.

“Well, do you remember what you did?” we asked.

“I RAN,” she said, and then laughed at herself.

We’re feeling proud that Sam worked through her fear of performance AND exhibited some self-awareness today. 🙂
