29 May 2012 Order Comes to the Shoes

I came home this evening to an enormous package on the porch. I figured it was a birthday present from someone. But what could be that big? And that heavy? I was really perplexed.

This evening I opened it, since on my actual birthday I’ll be in West Virginia. And I was delighted to find a shoe rack! No more untidy piles of shoes heaped by the front door. I am giddy over this shoe rack. I’d put it on my Amazon wish list some time ago, intending to get it at some point for the new house, and then I forgot about it. Thanks to my 40-something forgetful brain, and my dear friends, I had a fun surprise tonight. Thanks, dear friends!
