Huey Helicopter

Sam and her father (who has returned to Cape May!) check out the cockpit of a 1960s Huey Helicopter from the Vietnam War at the Cape May Airport Aviation Museum. In addition to various Vietnam-era helicopters we saw a number of WWII fighter planes. It turns out that nearby Wildwood was a Naval Air Station during the war. Long before teens would come to Wildwood to get drunk and get tattooed, sailors in training crammed onto the boardwalk to dance and carouse with girls from Philadelphia. Hmm. You know that saying about the more things change?
