Downtown Free Speech Wall

First there was only an inch of snow on the ground when Sam got up in the morning. (Yeah, all that hype for nothing).

Then the carousel was closed on the Downtown Pedestrian Mall.

So when we stopped in front of the Free Speech Wall at the eastern end of the Mall, Sam reached into her pocket, took out a little chalk rock–one she found on the South Downs near Brighton–and she drew a frowny face.

Then when I pulled out my camera she made a frowny face.

Disappointment is best shared, it seems.
