Unpacking the Past

Unpacked today: a photo of AC and his flight instructor the day AC made his first solo flight when we lived in Cville in the late 90s; a little “jewel” tree that Ruth, AC’s maternal grandmother passed on to us the last time we saw her in her home in Champaign, IL shortly before Sam was born; a photo of the Cap Canaille in Cassis, France that I took at dawn on the last morning of my semester there; a little screen print of the starling murmuration over the West Pier that I gave to AC in 2008 after our first trip to Brighton; a Kesmai “desk bauble” from AC’s first job in the computer games biz; and a green candle that a colleague at Penn State Altoona gave to me at Sam’s birth.

Lots of memories in these boxes.

Also unpacked today… the wireless router! It was in a box that also contained camping gear and a couple of antique toy trains that AC inherited from his grandfather. Of course.
