16 December 2010 Last Day

It was hard to choose a photo for today. It’s not that there were many brilliant candidates. It’s just that there were moments that I thought defined the day: the words “The End” that I typed on the last page of the novel I’ve been writing since November 2009 (I finished it this morning!); the rain; the sad people faces that Sam drew while I was cleaning the flat, the empty flat–empty of what made it feel like our home, and of course the sea out our window. I’m going to miss the sea.

But in the end I went with this picture of Sam and AC at our favorite Indian restaurant where we went for dinner tonight. Because in all of this, we’re together and that’s a wonderful thing.
