22 August 2010 Southwick Harbour
This weekend it’s been rainy, cloudy, and grey with a chance of grey. Friday night I developed a mysterious toe pain. The mystery is that out of the blue, it hurt to walk on my left foot. I have my suspicions, and we’ll see what the NHS doctor says this week. So between the weather and the foot, hiking was right out. But after a day and a half of lying around, I needed to move. Pushing on a bike pedal didn’t aggravate the toe, so we went for a quick jaunt along the seafront to the west toward Shoreham-by-Sea, stopping when the bike path ends abruptly at the locks at Southwick Harbour. The path ends, but the grey goes on.
