Scenes from a Saturday in London
Smiling despite the long queue at Victoria Station to buy an Oyster card for the Underground.
AC uses his deductive powers to determine that the Jubillee Line was closed and that we needed to take three different tube trains to our destination.
Then the Super Sleuth found us a free bus to take us to St. John’s Wood. Elementary.
This is THE zebra crossing on Abbey Road in front of the Abbey Road studios. In addition to hordes of tourists, there were hordes of cars zipping along the Abbey Road. Don’t hit John, Paul, George, and Ringo!
Gotta love The Beatles.
This is where we thought AC’s friend and his diplomat wife lived. We were wrong. They live next door. We figured this out only after bugging some poor lady who lives in one of the flats upstairs.
Eventually we find AC’s friend, have lunch at a yummy Jewish Deli, and then walk to the London Zoo alongside the Regent’s Canal.
Otters on land: these were Sam’s favorite.
Penguins waiting to be fed: these were my favorite.
Butterfly.
Atlas Moth.
Back along the canal footpath.
Baker Street loves its sleuth.
We take the Baker Street bus back to Victoria Station– much better than three changes on the Tube.
