Three!

Three years old, that is. Today is Sammy’s birthday. Her parents are happy and proud. At age 3 Sam is toilet trained, she can legibly write two of the three letters of her name (the “A” and the “M”), she can reliably count up to 10 objects, she is chatty and charming and friendly. Also, she exhausts us like no other being can. Yep, she’s 3.

Sly Sammy

I haven’t written much over the past few months, mostly because life has gotten in the way of blogging. That’s probably about to change, however, since life is about to get SO interesting that I will just have to write about it. In 10 days, AC, Sam and I leave for the United Kingdom. We’re going to be in Brighton for the next 3 months. Linden Lab needs AC to do some team building in their fledgling office there, and Sam and I are tagging along. Brighton is a seaside town just an hour or so south of London. We’ll be staying in a furnished apartment on top of a hotel directly across the street from the chilly English channel. So in the coming weeks, you can expect thrilling tales of the Eloise-esque adventures of Sammy.

In the meantime, here’s what we’ve been up to, in pictures at least, over the summer:

In June, a trip to PA to visit the grandparents:

In July Aunt Maureen visited and we got hooked on flying kites:

In August we went to Wisconsin for a family reunion, and then hosted other family visitors back at home:

Stay tuned, but for now it’s
Ta ta!
