Sam: “The wheels on the bus go up and down, up and down, up and down…”

Mom: [mock indignation] “Up and down?! No they don’t. They go round and round.”

Sam: [hysterical laughter].

Sam: “Twinkle, twinkle, little star. How I wonder what you are. Up above the world so high. Like a diamond in the … ceiling!”

Nursery rhymes and songs continue to be the soundtrack of our lives. Here is Sammy back in September singing a round of songs with the proper lyrics. They are: “Row row row your boat,” “Five Little Ducks” (she gets stuck on the number 3), and the beginning of “Hot cross buns.”
