Sam and I just returned from her 24-month wellbaby visit with her pediatrician. The exciting news is that Sammy weighs 24 and 1/4 pounds and is 33 inches tall, which puts her in the 25th percentile for height and almost the 25th (22) percentile for weight. This is the highest she’s ever been on the weight scale! So maybe, maybe, after 2 years, her parents can relax a little bit about her eating and weight gain. Maybe 😉

It was also a successful visit because Sam did not scream and cry the whole time, but actually interacted with the doctor a bit (though often just to tell her that she wanted to go home). She got two shots AND had blood drawn for peanut allergy testing and, considering that ordeal, she did great. The nurses were particularly efficient and helpful. And now besides the yearly flu shot, Sammy won’t need any more vaccines until she’s five!

She is quite proud of her band-aids: one on each thigh, and one on her arm. As we left the hospital, she loudly exclaimed, “Mommy and Sammy got shots!” (I also got a flu shot.)
