Big Shoes to Fill

There’s an early episode of “The Simpsons” in which Bart realizes that Sideshow Bob has framed Krusty the Klown for robbery, when he notices that Sideshow Bob has enormous feet. The line “Big shoes to fill” rings through Bart’s head as he figures it out. I was thinking of this line myself a couple of weeks ago when Sammy tried to walk in her father’s shoes.

I’ve been neglecting this blog to work on another project (details to be announced soon, I hope!) and I have a backlog of stories and videos. Sammy is now 18 months old and is a whirlwind of movement and words. Whoever coined the term “walkie talkie phase” for the second year was absolutely right.
