Scenes de la vie Sammienne

(With apologies to Balzac. And to my readers.)

We’re back from the far side of the continent, and yes there are loads of stories to tell. But in the meantime, I have a backlog of Sam videos to share. The following is a sampler of scenes from our house in California in December. In the first scene, Sam and her father are communicating in the ancient language of raspberry blowing. Then you’ll notice that she tires of that and switches to babble. You will also see her rendition of the ASL sign for “father” (where she taps her head).

The second scene features the still fledging walker. It is amazing to watch this clip now, because it is a month later and Sam is so much more confident on her feet. You’ll also hear her “read” a book to herself, in her own Sammy gibberish language, which I could listen to all day (and often do!)
