Lunchtime Conversation
It’s been difficult to record examples of Sam’s language development since she tends to clam up as soon as she sees the camera. “Can’t talk now, must try to grab shiny technogadget!” This is unfortunate, because in addition to nearly 20 words, or approximations thereof (“car” is still pronounced “go!”), Sam speaks the most adorable gibberish language. We’re still working on recording her “oogle google gogol godel ogle ugle” statements, but in the meantime, here’s a sample of some q&a with Mama at lunchtime. Sam is getting better and better at identifying body parts and since I took this video, she knows where her teeth and tongue are. The location of that pesky nose, however, is still sometimes mystifying. Maybe she’s been babbling about Gogol for a reason!
