Night #2

Sam slept last night pretty much without interruption. A couple of times I heard her cry or whimper, but it was never long enough to warrant us getting up to check on her. At 6:40 AM she woke us, crying pretty hard, and so we all got up for the day.

First nap was at 10:30AM and she fell asleep quickly and with little protest. I don’t think we had to check on her at all.

Second nap at 3:30 … didn’t happen. She cried, complained, and chatted to herself for half an hour, after which time we declared the nap “over.” After calling “Mama,” and “Dah ee” for a while, we heard her repeating “Bee?” (“bear”) which didn’t make sense until we went into her room and found that she had pitched poor Emma bear out of the crib.

Bedtime was a little earlier tonight (8:50 PM) and Sam was pretty tired. She cried when we left the room, but was quiet and asleep well before the 10 minute mark, when we would have gone in to comfort her.

So far so good. Fingers crossed…
