    Milestone: first family bike ride where Sam rode on her own bike. 8 miles! Secondary milestone: I didn’t fall down or off my bike in any way at any time during the 8-mile ride. Not even when I snapped this photo. This trail was lovely, wooded, and gentle. It follows the Piney River in Nelson County, about an hour south

    The Sun God Ra sure did beat us with his rays today: 95 degrees Farenheit in the shade. And humidity that hugged us like a sarcophagus.
