Today was the last day of the summer session of “Le club des amis”–now Pascal and EugÃ©nie get to take a nice long rest. (If only I could join them!)

In honor of the fÃªte nationale in France today, a few French and francophile families attended the free “Make and Take” craft session at Michaels today, which included, bien sÃ»r, making a stereotypical bonhomme out of felt. Poor EugÃ©nie and Pascal. They’ve moved around nearly as much as we have–from the Bay Area to Brighton to Charlottesville–as has my little kid French class, which debuted today. We had 12 kids, ages 1-8. Mon Dieu!
