Playgroup went to Explore More in Harrisonburg today and the kids spent most of the time putting on plays, complete with sound effects and backdrop curtain changes. In this scene, Sam plays a homeless girl who encounters a witch. Drama ensues!

Our weekend trip to PA canceled because of weather, we decided to use one of our remaining 3 lift tickets and go skiing this afternoon. Here, Sam decides between two trails–Dixie Dare and Pacesetter. It was cold enough to make snow up at the top of Massanutten, so today we skied in sun and blowing snow (I may actually prefer skiing in the rain–blown snow in the face is no fun). That’s AC and Sam ahead of me in the lift. *Somehow* I didn’t get into place in time and missed the seat.

Despite the warm temps, and off and on drizzle, we had a great time at Massanutten ski resort this afternoon. All three of us are doing the “License to Slide” program. (In my case, it’s more like license to slip and slide.) It was Sam’s first time ever skiing. She loved it.
