    Thanks to the floating row cover, aka the shroud in the cemetery garden, the lettuce and broccoli are surviving the overnight freezing temperatures quite nicely. The lettuce is Red Sails and Rouge d’Hiver. I forget which is which, but both are tasty.

    French Club is split into two groups this year– Les Grands et Les Petits. With Les Grands we are working with a textbook program called Alex et Zoé. The kids recently completed the first unit and today they presented a skit to Les Petits. I don’t think Les Petits were too impressed, but I was quite pleased. In this

We read about the costume that doctors who treated plague victims wore, and today she wanted to make one for herself. Apparently the beak-like nose could hold fragrant herbs and flowers.
