Sam enjoyed showing Anjali the hollow Tulip Poplar at Kemper Park before we made our way up to Monticello. It poured as we toured the house but later we got to wander the gardens in the mist. I can’t believe our UK guests are experiencing such a British summer while in Virginia.

Sam has been eyeing the face painter at the Farmer’s Market for a couple of weeks now. Today she braved the chair, paid her own money and handled the transaction all by herself. She came out a very cute bunny. (Of course a little while later she complained that the paint itched and washed it all off.)

Sam spent nearly the entire afternoon with the homeschool group at Mint Springs building a snail habitat in the sand for the numerous snails hanging out in the water.
