Sam is up in the tree. Apparently, country folk call these trees and their fruit “service berries.” When the trees flower in spring, it means that the ground has thawed enough for people to dig graves for those who died over the winter.

AC’s soccer team Uno Mas won the championship game today! It was 3-3 and they played overtime and it was still tied. Uno Mas won in the penalty kicks. It’s a two-fer today, because before the game Sam had a piano recital. She played “Fur Ludwig,” a variation on Beethoven’s “Fur Elise.”
