We’re not Welsh and we’ve never lived in Wales, but still when I read about this craft for St. David’s day, we just had to try it. Note for language geeks: they call it a “windmill,” whereas I think we in the States call these gizmos “pinwheels.” Happy St. David’s Day!

I can’t decide what cracks me up more: the fact that there’s an indoor playground in Charlottesville’s “Fashion Square” Mall (very handy on a rainy day) or the fact that it’s Jeffersonian themed. Make that the broken shredder. AC gave it a go, he really did, but even greasy thumbed “Mr. Fix-it” gave up in the end (when turning on the shredder caused a short-circuit and all the power went out in the office.)
