In April Sam will begin a month-long, biweekly swim class at Charlottesville new city pool. I thought it would be a good idea for us to check it out beforehand, so we went this afternoon for “family swim” hours. The pool facilities are gorgeous. I attended a couple of sessions on children’s book publishing at the awesome (and free!) Virginia Festival of the Book today.

Poor EugÃ©nie and Pascal. They’ve moved around nearly as much as we have–from the Bay Area to Brighton to Charlottesville–as has my little kid French class, which debuted today. We had 12 kids, ages 1-8. Mon Dieu!
